Kicking off this year’s vape kit reviews, let’s introduce Vaporesso’s Deliciu Mate! Sneaking into the lineup of our favourite vape kits of 2024, this little pocket-rocket hit our shelves in October and has been a staple MTL device since!
What follows is a review from Hannah, here at ELQD ECIGS, and my opinion on Vaporesso’s Deliciu Mate since its release.

First Look
I went for the lilac purple device in the Deliciu Mate range which features a nice sleek and simplistic design, with a metallic finish on the body. This one comes with a prefilled pod in Blueberry Sour Raspberry (20mg) as well as an additional XROS 0.8Ω Mesh Pod.
The ‘Deliciu’ name is engraved on the interface of the device.
Design and Build Quality
The smooth finish and build of the Deliciu Mate fits comfortably in my hand with a nice grip to it, despite giving a ‘slippery’ appearance.
The durable and compact size and lightweight features of this device makes the Deliciu Mate a terrific vape for on the go use, pocket sized for portability!
Located just above the Deliciu branding is a 4 level LED battery indicator.
The charging port on the Deliciu Mate is located on the side and charges perfectly with any suitable Type-C cable. NB: A charging cable isn’t included in the packaging, a small con but it does help keep the price low.
How to Use
- Remove prefilled pod from the device
- Remove the protective sticker from the base of the pod and red silicone plug from the mouthpiece
- Place the pod back into the device
- As the pod comes prefilled, there’s no need to wait 15 minutes before using it… simply pop it in and vape away!
- Once the prefilled pod runs out of e-liquid, dispose of it as it is non-refillable and place the extra 0.8Ω XROS pod on
- Fill it up with your chosen e-liquid and remember to wait 15 minutes this time!
Performance
Now it’s time to get down to business and test out how Vaporesso’s Deliciu Mate performs!
Starting off with the prefilled pod, courtesy of the team over at Vaporesso, I was immediately hit with the unmissable flavour profile of Blueberry Sour Raspberry! The sweet blueberry with an added punch of tart raspberries provided an enjoyable draw from start to finish. I got about 6 hours out of the prefilled pod before it was empty and ready to be disposed of.
In between testing the prefilled pod and a fresh XROS pod, I allowed for the Deliciu Mate battery to run down completely for two reasons; A – to test the length of charging time required, and B – to test how long the battery can last when using a 0.8Ω pod. Using a standard Type-C cable and a suitable plug, it took under an hour for the Deliciu Mate to fully charge!
I then took the additional XROS 0.8Ω pod that came with the Deliciu Mate, and paired it with another flavour from the Deliciu Nic Salt range – Strawberry Raspberry Cherry. The MTL draw paired with this flavour produced a delightfully sweet and fruity berry medley – It’s no wonder this is our best selling flavour! Now this may be controversial, but as a cherry enthusiast myself, I would pick Deliciu’s Strawberry Raspberry Cherry next time I fancy this flavour as it is just that bit heavier on the cherry compared to other brand versions. With the 0.8Ω pod, I estimated around 13 hours of use before the battery needed recharging!
Lastly, an understandable concern many vape users have when it comes to pod kits is leaking. Let me tell you this, in all of the years I’ve been using Vaporesso kits, the XROS pod series’ Triple S anti-leak protection has never let me down!

Conclusion
There we have it, Vaporesso’s Deliciu mate! A fantastic addition to the lineup of MTL starter kits, and a great transition device from disposables to reusable and refillable kits, which will inevitably prove helpful come June of this year with the impending single-use disposable ban in the UK…it’s one to consider!
