We’ve been loving OXVA’s Xlim pod kit lineup here at ELQD ECIGS, so today we’re taking a look at their Xlim Classic Edition, an upgraded version of their original Xlim pod kit.
Have OXVA managed to successfully pay homage to the pod kit that set them flying to the vape industries hall of fame?
What follows is a review from Hannah, here at ELQD ECIGS, and my experience of using the Xlim Classic since its release. My opinions may not reflect those of others.

First Look
At first glance, the precise geometric engraving paired with the colour gradient creates a stunning visual appeal and produces a really cool 3D effect when the light hits it. This was created using nano-level laser engraving technology and is the first notable upgrade from the original Xlim.
It also appears to be the only way of differentiating the device from the original version as the ‘OXVA’ logo is branded on the interface and ‘Xlim’ on the side.
Design & Build Quality
The Xlim Classic is surprisingly compact and lightweight, weighing just 45g of aluminium alloy and the sleek device feels really nice as it moulds into the hold of my hand. For additional user comfort, OXVA have included a lanyard in the packaging which is handy for going out or driving, if you’re like me then no doubt your vape constantly falls down the side of your seat!
Not only does the nano-cutting process produce an eye-catching look, it also makes for advanced durability as it helps reduce surface wear and tear over time.
The magnets and connectors in the pod port of the device securely hug the PCTG plastic Xlim pods in place, ensuring no worry to the user of them falling out. The Xlim Classic is compatible with the entire range of Xlim pods, including the 0.4Ω pod, which is the second significant improvement from the original Xlim version.
Situated on the side of the Xlim Classic, you’ll find the airflow control valve which can be adjusted for a tighter or looser MTL hit depending on user preference.
On the interface of the device there is a 0.42″ OLED screen with great resolution, showing you everything you need in an advanced pod kit: wattage, pod resistance, battery indicator, and a puff counter.
The fire button is directly below the OLED screen, branded with OXVA’s ‘X’ which emits colour from its LED when the device is activated.
The charging port is located on the bottom of the device, with a reminder of the charging rate (1000mAh) etched below.
Out with the old, in with the new

How to Use OXVA’s Xlim Classic
- Remove the device from the packaging
- Lift up the bottom edge of the port cover to reveal the filling port on the pod
- Carefully insert the nozzle of your E-liquid bottle and gently squeeze until the pod is full
- Wait at least 15 minutes before using to ensure the coil has soaked up the E-liquid
- Make sure you’ve removed the protective sticker from the base of the pre-installed pod
- After the 15 minute wait, press the fire button 5 times quickly to turn on/off
- Hold the fire button for manual firing or inhale through the mouthpiece to activate auto-draw firing.
Additional Settings:
- To lock or unlock the device, press the fire button 4 times quickly – a lock/unlock icon will show on the screen
- Press the fire button 7 times quickly to reset the puff count
- To adjust the wattage output, press the fire button 3 times quickly. When the power output flashes on the screen, press the fire button to increase – each press increases the wattage in 0.5W increments. The output range will match up to the pod installed, for example with the 0.8Ω pod you can adjust the wattage between 5 and 18W. Once the maximum wattage is met, the next click will bring it back to 5W.
To charge the Xlim Classic, use the included Type-C charging cable and a suitable power outlet. The screen will display the battery’s charging process and will turn off when it’s fully charged.
Performance
Now we get into the fun part, and that’s testing out how the Xlim Classic performs!
Where better to start than the battery life? From 0% to 100%, it took a swift 45 minutes for mine to charge!
Changing it up for myself, I paired the 0.6Ω pre-installed pod with Raspberry Bubblegum from the Slushie Salts range in 10mg. The 0.6Ω pod’s recommended wattage range is 20-25W, therefore I set my power to 22W. Straight away I was hit with a nice level of warmth from the nostalgic sweet-shop bubblegum and the tangy undertones of ripe raspberries combined through the exhale gave me a nice smooth throat hit. Even better, I got around 18 hours and 208 puffs out of the device when using the 0.6Ω pod before it let me know that it was time to recharge.
Moving on to the 0.8Ω pod, I also paired this with Raspberry Bubblegum 10mg to keep things consistent. The 0.8Ω pod’s recommended wattage range is 12-18W so I set mine to 15W. From this, a soft and much more mellow bubblegum flavour was produced and the sweet raspberry twang wasn’t missed, overall providing an enjoyable hit for myself. With the 0.8Ω pod, I estimated around 20 hours of use and 244 puffs before the battery needed recharging!
Conclusion
OXVA have hit the mark with this one, with an increased wattage output, a stunning facelift from the original version and a bigger battery lasting you all day and longer, what more could you ask for!
