Here we are, finally reviewing one of my most anticipated kits of 2022. The latest addition to Vaporesso’s Target range, the Target 200.
I’ve always been a sucker for Vaporesso’s box mods, from the days of the Revenger X up to the most recent release of the GEN S. They’re yet to miss when it comes to top of the range Direct-To-Lung vaping kits, beating out fierce competition from the top dogs in the industry.
Even if we take this kit at face value without a deep dive into every little extra feature they’ve added to this kit, it looks as though the Target 200 will be absolutely fantastic!

First Look
The Target 200 is a real eye catcher, its sleek cage and attractive water resistant braided design sets it apart from other kits of its type. Moving quickly on to the brand new iTank from Vaporesso, another 10/10 in the looks department. It sits perfectly atop the Target 200 with no overlap. Overall this kit really looks the part, so let’s stop talking about how it looks and get into the nitty-gritty of it!
Design & Build Quality
The design on the Target 200 is fantastic, the braid makes it feel really good in the hand, even when using it for extended periods. The Target 200 also comes in at about 16% lower weight than kits of similar build and specifications, which means that you don’t have to worry about it weighing down your pockets! The only factor that myself and my other colleagues were worried about at first was the battery door which is on a hinge at the base of the mod, however, after using the kit since release, none of us have had any problems with it and it is very solid even after some long-term use. When batteries are inserted it stays in position perfectly. The iTank also ticks all the boxes, it’s easy to fill with its slide opening cap and coil changing is a breeze with the “Push & Pull” style coil changing system.
With its slightly raised 510 connector plate, the Target 200 allows for much easier access to the airflow adjustment ring than other kits. This means that getting the perfect airflow for every draw is easier than ever.
Moving on to the display, the 0.96” TFT colour screen is a great addition to this mod. It clearly shows the current wattage, the battery level, the Ohm reading for the coil which is currently inserted, the voltage (while vaping only) and it also has a puff counter. The currently selected mode is also shown both below the wattage and each mode available utilizes a different colour option to make it easier to identify which mode you are currently using.
How to use the Target 200
- Insert the batteries to the bottom of the mod after opening the battery door, being sure to pay attention to the polarity indicators on the inside of the door.
- Unscrew the iTank’s base to access the coil port, remove the coil and prime with a liquid of your choosing before re-inserting the coil. Ensuring to align the tabs on the edges of the coil with the indents in the port.
- Screw the iTank back onto it’s base before screwing the entire iTank onto the 510 connector at the top of the Target 200
- Slide the top section of the iTank open by pushing it in the direction indicated by the arrow on the tank
- Fill the tank with the desired eliquid and close the top section by pushing it in the opposite direction
- Allow the coil to soak for approximately 15 minutes
- Turn the device on by clicking the fire button 5 times
- Use the buttons near the base of the device to adjust the wattage to the desired amount, the best range is indicated on the side of the coil
- Adjust the airflow to the desired resistance using the ring at the base of the iTank
- Enjoy!
If you are new to these types of mod, you would be best off leaving the kit in the f(t) mode which the device comes in as standard, as we found this provided the best all-round vaping experience. The Pulse mode is also great for a bit more of a hard hitting, instant flavour vape. However if you are a bit more of a vaping aficionado, you can access the full settings menu by clicking the button below the adjustable wattage buttons 3 times, this includes a Bypass mode, a DIY mode and Variable Voltage.
Performance
Now time to talk about the fun part of these reviews, getting to use the kits!
Where better to start than the coils! The Target 200 comes with two in the box. A 0.2Ω coil which is already installed in the iTank and a 0.4Ω coil which is in the box. I tried the 0.2Ω coil first, which I accompanied with the brand new Raspberry Sherbet in our ELQD ECIGS 50ml range. The 0.2Ω coil was a match made in heaven for this liquid, it really brought out the tart notes and the “zing” of the sherbet while still keeping the sweetness from the raspberry. It provides a delightful, mouth-filling, flavour packed vape with a perfect amount of warmth and a very respectable cloud. In use I found the ‘sweet spot’ of this coil was about 70W, it was just the perfect amount of warmth and flavour for me. When using the 0.4Ω coil I kept it consistent and used Raspberry Sherbet once again. This coil provides a more subtle flavour than the 0.2Ω coil, it still did a great job at bringing out all the vibrant notes of this liquid, in particular highlighting the sweet notes of raspberry on the exhale. Overall it provides a slightly cooler vape but still packed with plenty of flavour and again, a really respectable cloud for vaping in and around 55W.
For most of my time using this device I have kept the device in f(t) mode, and it does not disappoint. Always providing a reliable draw with flavour from start to end. The Pulse mode in Vaporesso kits has always been a favourite of mine and my other colleagues, and it’s no exception in the case of the Target 200, as it always provides an instant flavour bomb. The AXON v2.1 chipset inside spikes and relaxes the wattage throughout the draw, providing a real flavour explosion. As for Variable Wattage (VW), there are actually 3 different settings in one mode: Soft, Normal and Hard variations of this mode are available. Variable Wattage (VV) mode is also available on this device.
When it comes to battery life the Target 200 really is outstanding, even when using the more demanding 0.2Ω coil I was easily getting around a day and a half of vaping before having to change batteries, this increased to around 2 days when using the 0.4Ω coil.
Another feature that works as well in practice as Vaporesso say it should is the liquid recycling system that Vaporesso have worked into the iTank, none of us have had even a drop of leaking in our use of the kit since release.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Target 200 is an absolute knockout when it comes to dual 18650 Sub-Ohm vaping kits. It’s got flavour for days and it will keep you puffing away for a long long time before needing to recharge or change batteries! I myself cannot recommend it enough whether you’re someone who wants to take their first dive into the big bad world of Sub-Ohm vaping, or an experienced vaper looking for a kit that can do it all!
