San Francisco – The First City In USA To Ban Eliquid Flavours

City supervisors in San Francisco voted recently on the ban of flavoured eliquids. San Francisco is now set to be the first city in North America to pass a bill in banning the sale of flavoured eliquids. Tobacco flavoured eliquids will be the only flavours available in the city if the bill becomes law.

The bill’s sponsor Malia Cohen claims that flavoured eliquids, such as fruits and desserts, are specifically targeting children and will increase the risk of underage use. Although a recent study by the CDC shows that there was a decline in vaping by teens in 2016.

Cohen and her colleagues passed the ban unanimously. A second vote is required to conform the bill and if the bill becomes law the ban will come into effect in April 2018.
