First Look
Straight away, the faux leather wrapping around the plastic body of the device makes for a nicely comfortable feel in the hand with good grip, ensuring that the device won’t easily slip out of the hand when in use. The sleek design of the Xlim Go is also really nice on the eyes with its simplicity and timeless look.
‘OXVA’ branding is etched on the front face of the kit and the device version ‘Xlim Go’ on the rear side.
Design & Build Quality
As for the pods, they’re no exception. The strong magnets located on the base of the pod and the port on the device itself ensure that it fits nice and snugly, leaving no concern of it falling out and lying loose.
The PCTG plastic pod is not only durable and at a low risk of cracking, but it also allows for you to see the E-liquid and monitor at a quick glance how much you have left – this is ideal to avoid running your coil dry and preventing those undesirable dry hits! Another thing to mention is the comfortable ‘duck bill’ shaped mouthpiece.
The charging port on the Xlim Go is located on the side and charges perfectly with any suitable Type-C cable. NB: A charger isn’t included in the packaging, a small con but helps keep the price low.
A feature on this pod kit I really appreciate is the adjustable airflow valve on the side opposite from the charging port. This provides users the option for a looser or tighter airflow, which you adjust to your own preference.
How to Use
OXVA’s Xlim Go is a great pod kit, offering very little fuss and maintenance. There’s no need for changing coils (which some vape users find causes too much mess), no power settings to adjust, there isn’t even a ‘fire’ button for activating as the device relies on and auto-draw system for firing a satisfactory Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) hit!
All you need to do is keep the liquid topped up, adjust the airflow valve to your desire and keep an eye on the LED battery indicator.
When activated, the ‘X’ shaped LED indicator will emit different colours to match the current battery level of the device:
- Green means it’s between 100% and 60%
- Blue means it’s between 60% and 20%
- Red means it’s below 20%
The LED may also flash red, this indicates that the Xlim Go is either fully out of charge, or that the pod isn’t connecting. Try giving the base of the pod a wipe down or charging the device. When the device is fully charged, the green light will go out.
Filling the Xlim Go
- Lift up the bottom edge of the port cover to reveal the filling port.
- Carefully insert the nozzle of your E-liquid bottle and gently squeeze until the pod is full. Top tip, tilt your pod around when filling to ensure a full fill.
- If the pod is new, allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes before using to ensure the coil has soaked up the E-liquid – this is what’s known as ‘priming’ and is a crucial step to avoid burning your coil out!
- Make sure you’ve removed the protective sticker from the base of the pod (this will only be on pre-installed pods).
Performance
I’m currently hooked on Elux’s Legend Nic Salt range, so I paired the pre-installed 0.8Ω pod with their new flavour, Cherry Sour Raspberry in 10mg. Straight off the bat, my taste buds were hit with a sensationally sweet mixture of cherry and raspberry, and the sour but tasteful twang was not missed! Even on a mid-strength pod, the flavour and vapour output was perfect.
Most pod kits typically have around 70% charge when purchased, so to test the charging time I let my device run dead before putting it on the charge. Using a standard Type-C cable and a suitable plug, it took approximately 50 minutes for the device to fully charge! (LED stops flashing green and eventually goes out when the charge is at max)
It’s important to consider that many users have different vaping habits and coil/nicotine strength preferences. As a heavy vaper myself, these devices rarely leave my hand. That being said, with the 0.8Ω pod, I estimated about a day and a half of vaping, with 4 pod refills before it needed recharging!
Now, a big concern found in many pod kits is leaks…I’ve been using the Xlim Go for a few months now and can safely say that I’ve had absolutely no issues with leaking and hardly any condensation around the base of the pod. Some advice for preventing leaks and spills would be to angle the nozzle of your E-liquid bottle away from the coil and slowly fill to allow for air to escape.

To give you a more in-depth idea of the Xlim Go, we thought a side by side comparison of another pod kit of similar size and spec would be helpful…and what better pod kit to go off than the long-serving Xros Mini from Vaporesso.
